28 Days are an Australian punk and rap-rock band formed in Frankston, Victoria in the late 1990s. Emerging from the skate punk and hardcore scene, the band became one of Australia’s biggest alternative rock acts of the early 2000s with their energetic mix of punk rock, hip hop, rap rock, and pop punk. Led by vocalist Jay Dunne alongside longtime members Simon Hepburn and Damian Gardiner, 28 Days broke into the mainstream with their platinum-selling 2000 album *Upstyledown*, which reached No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Songs like “Rip It Up,” “Sucker,” “Goodbye,” and “What’s the Deal?” became staples of Australian alternative radio and skate culture. Known for explosive live performances and a distinctly Australian take on punk and rap fusion, the band blended aggressive guitars, turntables, melodic hooks, and humorous lyrics during the height of the nu metal and skate punk era. After a hiatus in 2007, they reunited in 2009 and continue performing live across Australia.
