These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lines mobile application ("App"), the website https://linesapp.co ("Website"), and related services provided by Global Lines Co Pty Ltd ("Lines", "we", "our", or "us").
By accessing or using our App or Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services.
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Our services comply with applicable data protection laws, including:
The Australian Privacy Act 1988
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
The Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD)
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA)
Other applicable data protection laws
Scope of Services
Lines provides a platform for discovering nightlife events, venues, and artists, primarily in Australia and London. The App and Website offer:
Event listings and recommendations (including AI-generated suggestions)
Venue and artist profiles (including embedded Spotify content)
Community features such as chats, likes, comments, and user-submitted live updates
Links to third-party platforms for ticket purchases (Lines does not sell tickets directly)
Subscription-based membership (DeGen Pass) providing access to exclusive offers and benefits
Exclusive deals and discounts available to all users and premium deals for DeGen Pass subscribers
Lines may update and enhance its services from time to time. We do not guarantee the availability of any specific feature.
License to Use: Lines grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the App and Website for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to your compliance with these Terms.
Accounts and Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the App. An account is required to access certain features, including submitting live updates, participating in community interactions, and subscribing to DeGen Pass.
Guest access is allowed on the Website with limited functionality. The App requires an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
User-Generated Content
Users may submit live updates about venues and events, including:
Videos
Information about line wait times, crowd levels, atmosphere, and other observations
Content Ownership and License: You retain ownership of any content you submit to our services. However, by submitting content, you grant Lines:
A worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display your content
The right to sublicense these rights to other users and third parties as necessary for the operation of our services
The right to use your content for promotional and marketing purposes related to our services
User Warranties and Representations: By submitting content, you represent and warrant that:
You own or have the necessary rights, licenses, consents, and permissions to grant the above license
Your content does not infringe, violate, or misappropriate any third-party rights (including copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights)
Your content does not contain unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable material
Your content complies with all applicable laws and regulations
You understand and agree that:
We do not control, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of user-submitted content
User-submitted content reflects individual opinions and experiences, not the views of Lines
Other users may report content they believe violates these Terms
We reserve the right to remove content, suspend accounts, or take other appropriate action at our sole discretion for violations of these Terms or applicable laws.
Community Features
You may interact with other users via chats, likes, comments, and other community features. You agree to use these features respectfully and lawfully. You must not post content that is illegal, abusive, hateful, obscene, or otherwise violates these Terms.
Ticketing and External Links
Lines displays tickets for certain events and may earn commissions on ticket sales. All ticket purchases are conducted on third-party platforms (such as Eventbrite, Motix, and others).
Lines does not act as the merchant of record and does not handle ticket payments or refunds. Any issues related to ticket purchases must be addressed with the relevant third-party platform.
We do not guarantee:
Entry to any event, regardless of ticket purchase or displayed event status
The accuracy or real-time validity of venue data (such as line status, open/closed status, capacity, atmosphere)
The quality, availability, or safety of events or promotions listed on the App or Website
Exclusive Deals and Discounts
Lines provides access to exclusive deals and discounts at participating venues and events. These include:
General Exclusive Deals: Available to all registered users of the Lines platform
DeGen Pass Exclusive Deals: Available only to active DeGen Pass subscribers (see our DeGen Pass Terms of Service for additional terms)
Deal Redemption and Venue Responsibility: All deals and discounts are subject to the terms and conditions set by the participating venues, promoters, and event organizers. Lines acts solely as a platform to display these offers and is not responsible for:
The availability, validity, or terms of any deal or discount
The quality of goods or services provided under any deal
Refusal of entry or service by venues or promoters
Changes to deal terms, expiration dates, or availability
Disputes between users and venues/promoters regarding deal redemption
Venue Discretion: Venues and promoters retain full discretion regarding entry, service, and deal redemption. This includes but is not limited to the right to refuse entry, refuse service, or decline to honor deals based on their own policies, capacity limitations, dress codes, behavior standards, or other operational requirements.
Deal Terms: Each deal may have specific terms, conditions, expiration dates, and limitations. Users are responsible for reviewing and complying with these terms before attempting to redeem any offer.
No Guarantee of Redemption: Lines does not guarantee that any deal will be available for redemption at the time of your visit, or that venues will honor deals in all circumstances. Disputes regarding deal redemption must be resolved directly with the venue or promoter.
DeGen Pass Subscriptions: DeGen Pass subscriptions are subject to our separate DeGen Pass Terms of Service, which govern subscription terms, billing, and refund policies. Please review the DeGen Pass Terms of Service carefully before subscribing.
Pre-Sales
Lines provides access to two types of event pre-sales via the App and Website:
Internal Pre-Sales are managed by Lines and may require users to provide a real email address and/or phone number to participate. In cases where a user registered using a masked Apple email address, they may be asked to provide their real email address. Users acknowledge that participation in an Internal Pre-Sale does not guarantee the ability to purchase tickets or access an event. Each Internal Pre-Sale may have its own participation requirements, which will be clearly indicated.
External Pre-Sales are provided through links to third-party ticketing platforms. Lines does not operate, control, or take responsibility for the operation of any External Pre-Sale, including the availability of tickets, the accuracy of information, or any interactions or transactions that take place on third-party platforms.
You acknowledge that participation in all Pre-Sales is voluntary and subject to availability. Ticket availability, pricing, and event terms are the responsibility of the relevant event organizers and/or third-party platforms.
Content and Intellectual Property
All content on the App and Website, including design, text, images, software, and logos, is owned by Lines or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Embedded Spotify players (on artist and event pages) and Google Maps (on venue and event pages) are provided through third-party services, which may set cookies and are subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
Users may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the App, Website, or its content without prior written consent.
Some images displayed on the App and Website — including event images, artist profile pictures, venue logos, event brand logos, and promoter logos — may be sourced from publicly available materials or provided by third parties. Lines does not claim ownership of such third-party content. All trademarks and copyrights remain the property of their respective owners. If you are a rights holder and believe your content has been used inappropriately, please contact us at legal@linesapp.co.
Data Protection and Privacy
We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Our collection, use, and sharing of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
We implement security measures including Google reCAPTCHA (on forms) and Firebase App Check (in mobile apps) to protect against spam, abuse, and unauthorized access. These services may collect additional data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Service Limitations and Security Measures
To protect our platform and users from fraud, abuse, and security threats, we implement various security measures that may affect service availability:
SMS Geographic Restrictions: We restrict SMS delivery (including verification codes) to certain countries identified as high-risk for SMS fraud and pumping attacks. If you are unable to receive SMS verification codes, this may be due to geographic restrictions on your phone number's country code.
Rate Limiting: We implement rate limiting on all API requests and user interactions to prevent automated abuse and spam. This may result in temporary restrictions on your ability to access certain features if unusual activity patterns are detected.
Multi-Layer Protection: Our security measures are implemented across multiple layers including the mobile app, backend systems, and third-party service providers to ensure comprehensive protection.
Web Application Firewall (WAF): We use Web Application Firewalls provided by AWS and Cloudflare to protect against malicious traffic, DDoS attacks, and other security threats. These firewalls may block certain requests or temporarily restrict access to protect our services and users. Some features may be unavailable if your traffic is flagged by these security systems.
These measures are necessary for the security and integrity of our services. If you believe you have been incorrectly restricted, please contact our support team or send an email to info@bondilines.com.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Service Disclaimers: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lines provides its services on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
User-Generated Content Disclaimer: Lines does not control or guarantee the accuracy, relevance, timeliness, or completeness of any information provided by users or venues. All user-submitted content, including live updates, venue information, and community posts, reflects individual opinions and experiences and should not be relied upon as factual or current.
We do not guarantee that:
Our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
Content on our services will always be accurate, complete, or current
Events will occur as advertised, or that venues will honor offers and promotions
Recommendations Disclaimer: Lines provides event recommendations, suggestions, and rankings using a combination of automated systems, algorithms, and user inputs. These recommendations are provided for convenience only and may not always reflect real-time venue status, availability, or event details. Lines does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any recommendations, and you agree to use them at your own discretion and risk.
Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lines and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
Loss of data or information
Cost of substitute goods or services
Personal injury or property damage (except where prohibited by law)
Emotional distress or mental anguish
Punitive or exemplary damages
Any damages arising from third-party conduct or content
Lines and its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, and licensors shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or injuries resulting from hacking, tampering, malware, or any other unauthorized access or use of the services, user accounts, systems, or the information contained therein, including any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal data stored therein. Lines is also not responsible for any viruses, trojans, malware, or similar harmful components that may be transmitted to or through the services by any third party.
Liability Cap: In jurisdictions where liability cannot be completely excluded, Lines' total liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of our services will not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount paid by you to Lines in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred dollars ($100 AUD).
Lines is not responsible for:
User-generated content
Actions or omissions of venues, promoters, or third-party platforms
Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services
Essential Terms: Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, the above exclusions and limitations will apply to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
User Conduct
You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
Submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, false, misleading, or violates the rights of others
Submit intentionally fake information, including fake live updates or promotional content
Attempt to interfere with the operation of our services, including by hacking, introducing malware, or using automated systems such as bots, scrapers, or crawlers without our express permission
Engage in automated data collection, scraping, or harvesting of our content, data, or user information without our express written consent
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our services, accounts, systems, or data
Use our services to engage in any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
Engage in any conduct that harms, attacks, or seeks to disrupt the security, integrity, or availability of our services or infrastructure, including but not limited to hacking, bot attacks, reverse engineering, or using automated systems to interfere with the platform (see "Prohibited Conduct and Legal Remedies")
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban accounts, block access to our services, and report unlawful activities to relevant authorities in cases of suspected or actual violation of this section.
Prohibited Conduct and Legal Remedies
Global Applicability: This section applies globally and is intended to comply with and be enforceable under all applicable laws and regulations in all jurisdictions where our services are offered, including but not limited to the laws of Australia, the European Union (including the GDPR), Brazil (LGPD), the United States (including CCPA/CPRA), and any other relevant national or international laws protecting platforms, services, and digital infrastructure.
You must not use, attempt to use, or encourage others to use our services in any way that is harmful, unlawful, or abusive. Prohibited conduct includes but is not limited to:
Attempting to hack, attack, disrupt, or interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of our services, related infrastructure, or networks
Using bots, scrapers, automated systems, or any technical means to access, extract, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise interfere with or exploit our services, content, or underlying technology
Attempting to bypass or disable any access controls, authentication measures, or security features we implement
Uploading, transmitting, or distributing viruses, malware, ransomware, or any other harmful or malicious code
Attempting to gain unauthorized access to user accounts, systems, data, or private areas of our services or those of our partners or providers
Assisting or encouraging any third party to engage in any of the above prohibited conduct
Legal Remedies: In addition to any other rights we may have under these Terms or applicable law, we reserve the right to take any or all of the following actions in response to prohibited conduct:
Suspend or permanently ban your account and block your access to our services without notice
Report your actions to relevant law enforcement, regulatory authorities, or partners, and cooperate fully with their investigations
Pursue appropriate civil or criminal legal action against you, including seeking monetary damages, injunctive relief, and recovery of legal fees and costs
Seek reimbursement from you for any losses, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) incurred by us as a result of your prohibited conduct
Take any other action we deem necessary to protect our services, users, partners, and intellectual property
Lines takes the security and integrity of its platform and services very seriously and will enforce this section to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Copyright and Intellectual Property
We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same.
DMCA Copyright Complaints: If you believe that content on our services infringes your copyright, please provide us with a written notice containing:
A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed
A description of where the allegedly infringing material is located on our services
Your contact information (address, telephone number, and email address)
A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner
A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
Your physical or electronic signature
Send your DMCA notice to our designated copyright agent at: legal@linesapp.co
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will promptly investigate and remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content. We may also terminate accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
Counter-Notification: If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification to the same email address. We will restore the content unless the original complainant files a court action within 10 business days.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lines, its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, and licensors from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees and court costs) arising from or related to:
Your breach of these Terms or violation of any law or regulation
Your content or any content submitted through your account
Your use of our services in a manner not authorized by these Terms
Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
Any claims arising from your attendance at events or interactions with other users
Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
Any harm or damage to third parties caused by your actions or omissions
Any fraudulent, unlawful, or negligent acts or omissions on your part
This indemnification obligation will survive termination of these Terms and your use of our services. Lines reserves the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with our defense of such claims.
App Store Terms and Third-Party Platforms
Third-Party Platform Acknowledgments: You acknowledge and agree that:
Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not parties to these Terms and have no responsibility for the App or its content
Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App
Apple and Google are not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App or your use of it
Apple and Google have no warranty obligations with respect to the App
Apple and Google are not liable for any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure of the App to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement
User Representations for App Stores: You represent and warrant that:
You are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a 'terrorist supporting' country
You are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties
You will comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the App (including App Store terms)
You acknowledge that Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you
Third-Party Beneficiaries: Apple Inc. and Google LLC are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
Contact for App Issues: For any issues related to the App, please contact Lines directly at info@bondilines.com. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide support for the App.
Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Binding Arbitration: Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of our services will be resolved by binding arbitration rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify.
Arbitration Rules: The arbitration will be conducted under the rules of the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA) or, if ACICA is unavailable, under the rules of another mutually agreed arbitration organization. The arbitration will be conducted in Sydney, Australia, unless otherwise agreed by the parties.
Arbitration Process: The arbitration will be conducted by a single arbitrator. You understand that:
Arbitration is generally faster and less expensive than court proceedings
Arbitration proceedings are confidential
The arbitrator's decision is final and binding
Each party bears its own costs and attorneys' fees unless otherwise awarded by the arbitrator
Class Action Waiver: You agree that any arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis only and not as a class action, collective action, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Lines.
Exceptions to Arbitration: Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights or confidential information.
Opt-Out: You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to legal@linesapp.co within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.
Assumption of Risk
Event Attendance: You acknowledge and agree that attending events discovered through our services is at your own risk. Lines is not responsible for any harm, injury, loss, or damage that may occur at third-party venues or events.
User Interactions: You acknowledge that interactions with other users, whether online or in person, are at your own risk. Lines does not screen users and is not responsible for the conduct of any user or any harm that may result from user interactions.
You are solely responsible for your personal safety and conduct when using our services and attending events or meeting other users.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to our services at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.
You may stop using our services at any time. You may delete your account via the App or contact us at info@bondilines.com.
Upon termination, your right to use our services will cease immediately, but the provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
Modifications to Services and Terms
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue our services, or to update these Terms, at any time. We will notify users of material changes where required. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
General Provisions
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the complete and exclusive agreement between you and Lines, superseding any prior agreements, communications, or understandings relating to the subject matter hereof.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable.
No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by Lines.
Assignment: Lines may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, without restriction. You may not assign or transfer any rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
No Third-Party Beneficiaries: These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights except as expressly stated herein (specifically regarding Apple Inc. and Google LLC as noted in the App Store Terms section).
Force Majeure: Lines will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, strikes, or government actions.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Subject to the arbitration provisions above, any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the courts of New South Wales, Australia, and you hereby consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.
If you access our services from outside Australia, you are responsible for compliance with local laws.
