* DAMO has been DJing since the mid-90s. DAMO is based in London and plays Deep House, House, Rare Disco, Boogie and Afro-Disco. * DAMO spent many years in the US, based in San Francisco, playing records at underground House clubs such as ‘The Top’ and at the Sunset boat parties and campouts. Returning to London in the early noughties, DAMO firmly placed himself into the UK music industry and has held a career at record companies that included a seven-year international role at Warner Music. For the last five years DAMO has been the Director of Recorded Music at Kartel Music Group, working with independent artists and labels with a focus on Dance & Electronic music.  DAMO sought and collected much of his vinyl in the US and holds a diverse and extensive collection that spans Deep House, House, Rare Disco, Boogie and Afro-Disco.  DAMO has been a permanent fixture at Glastonbury and Block9 for over ten years, ever since The NYC Downlow was founded, including sets at The Meat Rack, The NYC Downlow and Genosys. Damo has played regularly in London including spots such as Joyeux Bordel, Merchants Tavern/Apothecary, HWK in Hackney Wick and at Spiritland.  DAMO has DJ’d on the radio including having a mid-noughties residency for a weekly three-hour Saturday show on London’s pirate station Chillin’ FM for four years. More recently DAMO was a resident on London’s Soho Radio as part of the Soho Jams show.
