Bio
Sepultura is a legendary metal band originally formed in Belo Horizonte, Brazil in 1984. Known for their aggressive sound and constant evolution, Sepultura became one of the most influential acts in global metal, blending thrash, death metal, and later groove metal with elements of Brazilian tribal rhythms. The band rose to international prominence with albums like *Arise* and *Chaos A.D.*, and reached mainstream success with *Roots* (1996), which incorporated indigenous Brazilian influences and helped redefine heavy music in the ‘90s. Over the years, Sepultura has undergone several lineup changes but has remained a powerful force in the metal scene, continuing to release new music and tour worldwide. In Australia, Sepultura has built a strong and loyal fanbase through multiple tours and festival appearances, known for delivering intense, high-energy live performances.
