Bio
Aburden are a Melbourne‑based alternative rock / melodic hardcore band formed in 2016, known for blending emotive melodic instrumentation with spoken‑word intensity and passionate vocal dynamics. They built a dedicated following through heartfelt releases and energetic live performances before a brief hiatus in 2019, then returned with a refreshed lineup and new material. Their sound ranges from somber, introspective tracks to soaring, cathartic anthems, incorporating layered guitars, dynamic vocal interplay (including clean singing and screamed/spoken sections), and thoughtful emotional narratives. Over the years they’ve released singles, EPs and tracks like My Old Friend, To The Sky and Believe Me, earning traction on Australian alternative playlists and a place on Greyscale Records. Aburden’s music often explores themes of personal growth, vulnerability and self‑reflection, delivered with a blend of melody and hardcore energy that resonates with fans of emotional alternative rock.
