Adrian Sherwood is a pioneering English producer, DJ and sound innovator best known for his influential work in dub music and experimental electronic production. He founded the seminal On‑U Sound label in 1979 and has spent over four decades shaping dub, reggae, post‑punk and bass music through his distinctive use of effects, remixing and sonic experimentation. Sherwood’s career spans extensive production, remix and collaborative work with a wide range of artists — from reggae legends like Lee “Scratch” Perry and African Head Charge to experimental and alternative acts such as Depeche Mode, Primal Scream and Nine Inch Nails — earning him a cult‑like following and lasting impact across genres.
