Bio
Alex G (born Alexander Giannascoli on February 3, 1993 in Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA) is an American singer‑songwriter, multi‑instrumentalist and producer who gained recognition for his DIY indie recordings on Bandcamp that blended lo‑fi textures, melodic songwriting and genre‑defying experimentation. Beginning his career as a teenager self‑releasing albums and EPs, he drew early acclaim for works like Trick and DSU, leading to wider visibility through critical praise and dedicated online audiences. He later released albums such as Beach Music, Rocket, House of Sugar and God Save the Animals, each expanding his palette across indie rock, folk, pop and experimental sounds. Alex G has collaborated with and worked alongside artists such as Frank Ocean and contributed to film soundtracks, while maintaining his reputation for raw emotionality and inventive songwriting. His 2025 album Headlights marked his major‑label debut with RCA Records, and he continues to tour internationally, including headline shows and festival appearances.
