Andy Van (born Andrew Alphonse Van Dorsselaer) is an Australian DJ, producer and record-label executive from Melbourne who has been active in dance music since the 1980s. He rose to international prominence as one half of the dance act Madison Avenue, whose global hit “Don’t Call Me Baby” topped charts in multiple countries and helped define late-1990s club pop. Beyond Madison Avenue, Van co-founded the influential label Vicious Vinyl/Vicious Recordings and built a reputation as a key tastemaker in electronic music, signing and developing artists including Avicii and Dirty South. He later continued his production work through projects such as the electro-house group Vandalism and the funk-driven house project Super Disco Club, while maintaining a long career as a touring DJ at major festivals and clubs in Australia and internationally. With decades of performances worldwide and extensive remix and production credits, Andy Van remains a prominent figure in Australia’s electronic dance scene as both a performer and industry figure.
