Bio
Annahstasia Enuke, known professionally as Annahstasia, is an American singer‑songwriter and musician from Los Angeles, California, USA. She’s widely recognised for her rich, emotive voice and deeply personal songwriting that blends folk, soul, indie, and poetic pop sensibilities into atmospheric, introspective music. Annahstasia first emerged as a recording artist with independent releases in the late 2010s, including her early 2019 EP Sacred Bull, before going on to release subsequent EPs Revival (2023) and Surface Tension (2024). Her breakthrough came with her debut full‑length album Tether in 2025, which earned critical acclaim and Pitchfork’s “Best New Music” designation for its lush emotional landscapes and compelling vocal performances. Drawing on her Nigerian‑American heritage, Annahstasia’s music explores themes of identity, love, inner conflict, and emotional resilience. Her songwriting combines folk‑inflected storytelling with soulful vocal delivery and rich, genre‑fluid arrangements, often fusing acoustic guitar, orchestral elements, and ambient textures. In addition to her own releases, she has gained recognition for her visual artistry and emotional presence in her music videos, including a notable appearance in Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s Luther video. Annahstasia has also toured internationally — supporting major acts and performing at festivals — and in 2026 she embarked on her first Australian tour, appearing at events such as the Port Fairy Folk Festival and WOMADelaide (though some dates were later affected).
