Anomie is the alias of Australian composer, producer, DJ and classically trained musician Sofie Loizou, known for her forward-thinking electronic music and powerful dancefloor presence. A Red Bull Music Academy alumni, she combines nuanced electronic production with dance-oriented energy, and has shared stages with international artists like Flying Lotus, DJ Vadim, Kode 9, Theo Parrish, Goth Trad and more — performing at global events including Sonar Festival, Outlook Festival and Low End Theory as well as major Australian festivals. Her releases — including Permanent Revelation and the Forward Backward and SOS EPs — showcase a bass-driven, eclectic approach that blends political and cultural themes with immersive sound design. She’s also a long-time radio presenter and events organiser, shaping underground music culture in Sydney and beyond.
