She was born in London to a multicultural background (British and French heritage), which influences both her musical and theatrical work. Trained as a pianist and composer, she developed an early interest in combining classical musicianship with contemporary songwriting and stage performance. Lucas first gained attention through the UK theatre and live performance scene, where she began creating work that blurred the line between concert performance and storytelling theatre.
