Bio
Armor For Sleep are an American emo and alternative rock band from New Jersey, formed in 2001. Led by vocalist and songwriter Ben Jorgensen, the band became a key part of the mid-2000s emo and post-hardcore movement, known for their atmospheric sound, emotionally introspective lyrics, and dreamlike storytelling. Their breakthrough album *What to Do When You Are Dead* (2005) became a cult favourite, blending melancholic themes with cinematic production and concept-driven songwriting. Tracks like *“Car Underwater”* and *“The Truth About Heaven”* helped define their signature mix of emo, indie rock, and post-hardcore influences. After disbanding in 2009 and later reuniting, Armor for Sleep returned to touring and recording, reconnecting with both long-time fans and a new generation drawn to early 2000s emo nostalgia. Their music continues to be celebrated for its emotional depth and immersive, conceptual approach.
