Bio
Asteroid B-612 are an Australian rock band known for their explosive blend of high-energy garage rock, proto-punk and ’70s Detroit-style rock & roll. Formed in Sydney in the early 1990s, the band quickly built a reputation as one of Australia’s most powerful live acts, channeling the raw spirit of bands like The Stooges, Radio Birdman and MC5. Across multiple albums and relentless touring, Asteroid B-612 carved out a cult following both in Australia and internationally, especially throughout Europe’s underground rock scenes. Their sound is defined by fuzz-driven guitars, blues-leaning riffs and unfiltered, high-octane performance, restoring rock & roll to something loud, loose and dangerous. Widely considered a cornerstone of Australia’s garage rock revival, Asteroid B-612’s legacy continues to inspire new generations of punk and rock bands keeping the flame of no-frills, full-throttle rock & roll alive.
