Bio
Murky Sonics co-founder and AAJA resident, Avran, is a Birmingam-born producer who fuses gritty basslines, intricate polyrhythmic percussion with a Latin twist, and folk instruments to sculpt unique sets and (half finished lol) tracks. Born and raised in Brum, Avran’s mixes are inspired by his hometown’s rich multicultural heritage and deep history of musical innovation. Having founded the bass-oriented brand ‘Murky Sonics’ whilst at Uni, Avran has run a number of sell-out events in Cambridge, Bournemouth, and even the Alps, whilst playing alongside some of the biggest names in the scene such as Joy Orbison, I.Jordan and Slipmatt. His output is ever expanding, with a current focus on blending UK club sonics with sounds from traditional music across the globe, which he showcases on his monthly AAJA show, ‘Tunda’. You an expect gritty basslines, intricate polyrhythmic percussion with a Latin twist, and folk instruments all fusing together to sculpt Avran’s unique sound.
