The group blends grime, hip-hop, jungle, and reggae influences, often tackling themes of social unrest, government control, and underground resistance. Fronted by Jman (MC) and Illinformed (producer), Babylon Dead have gained international recognition for their raw lyricism and heavy production. Their debut album “Bang the Booth” and follow-up “Book of the Dead” earned cult status among fans of hardcore UK hip-hop. They’ve built a reputation for delivering high-energy festival and club sets — fusing UK hip-hop intensity with drum & bass energy — making them a standout act in the underground bass scene.
