Bio
Bad//Dreems are an Australian rock band formed in 2011 in Adelaide, South Australia. The founding members are Ben Marwe (lead vocals, occasional acoustic guitar), Alex Cameron (lead guitar, backing vocals), James Bartold (bass, backing vocals), and Miles Wilson (drums). Alistair “Ali” Wells joined later (officially in 2017) as rhythm guitarist/backing vocals. Their first EP Badlands came out in 2013, followed by full-length albums Dogs at Bay (2015), Gutful (2017), Doomsday Ballet (2019), and Hoo Ha! (2023). All albums have charted in Australia’s ARIA Top 40. Their sound is known for raw energy, gritty guitar work, strong Australian character in lyrics (themes of identity, suburban life, political & social commentary), a mix of pub-rock and post-punk influences. Over time they have evolved, getting more polished while still keeping that edge.
