Barbarion is a Melbourne-based heavy metal band formed in 2007, known for their over-the-top theatrical performances and larger-than-life stage presence. The group blends classic heavy metal and hard rock influences, drawing inspiration from bands like Iron Maiden, Manowar, Megadeth, Accept, and AC/DC. Barbarion are especially recognised for their high-energy live shows, which feature elaborate costumes, props, fire effects, smoke, and “barbarian warrior” stage personas. Their performances are designed to be loud, humorous, and visually intense, making them as much a spectacle as a musical act. Formed by a large lineup of musicians, the band quickly built a reputation in Melbourne’s underground scene and became known for their bombastic, party-style metal shows that appeal to both metal and non-metal audiences. They have released albums including Feast On The Beast (2009), AAAAARRGGHHH (2010), and Ram The World (2013).
