Bio
Bardvarkk is a femme‑led four‑piece punk powerhouse from Mulubinba/Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, formed in 2024. The lineup — featuring Niamh (vocals), Sam (guitar), Josh (drums) and Tenzin (bass) — channels raw punk energy and sharp wit, drawing influence from bands like Amyl and the Sniffers, C.O.F.F.I.N. and Die Spitz. Their politically charged lyrics and satirical edge set them apart in the local scene, with themes that are thought‑provoking as well as mosh‑pit ready. Bardvarkk quickly built momentum on the all‑ages punk circuit, performing energetic live shows at DIY laneways, backyard gigs and local festivals before breaking into established venues around Newcastle and beyond. They are known for their fierce presence and unapologetic authenticity, often appearing alongside other emerging punk acts in high‑intensity lineups. Their recorded output includes the 2025 single “Grandma’s Pissed,” a concise punk‑anthem released through MKZ Productions that embodies the band’s explosive sound and attitude.
