Bio
Baxter Dury is an English singer-songwriter known for his dry spoken-word delivery, cinematic storytelling, and stylish blend of indie, electronic, and lounge-influenced sounds. The son of Ian Dury, he carved out his own identity in the UK music scene with a distinctive voice that mixes sardonic humor, nightlife narratives, and introspective observations. Dury first gained attention with his debut album Len Parrot's Memorial Lift (2002), but it was later releases like Prince of Tears (2017) and The Night Chancers (2020) that brought wider critical acclaim. His work often features minimalist grooves, lush arrangements, and collaborations with producers such as Craig Silvey, creating a sleek, nocturnal atmosphere that complements his deadpan vocal style. With a career spanning over two decades, Baxter Dury has become a cult favorite for his uniquely British perspective, blending art-pop sensibilities with a cool, understated edge.
