Bio
BESTIES is an Australian alternative/pop duo from the Illawarra region made up of vocalist Max Pasalic and producer Nat Sherwood. The project formed during the pandemic after the two artists began collaborating remotely, blending Max’s songwriting with Nat’s production background. They gained national attention after winning triple j Unearthed’s DIY Supergroup competition with their breakout track two bedroom apartment. Their sound mixes emotionally charged songwriting with energetic production, pulling from indie pop, emo, electronic music, hip-hop, and post-hardcore influences. BESTIES are known for combining introspective lyrics with modern DIY production and genre-crossing arrangements.
