Blood of a Pomegranate is the experimental music project of Armenian Diasporan musician Tig Harutyunyan, based in Naarm/Melbourne. The project blends Armenian folk music with industrial, noise, dark ambient, drone, and neofolk, often using atmospheric and abrasive soundscapes. Their work explores themes of war, displacement, Armenian identity, and political resistance. Their album 7000 Haunting Artsakh reinterprets Armenian folk songs through experimental and industrial sounds and was created in response to the 2020 Artsakh war.
