Braiden is a DJ, producer and visual artist whose work has come from the heart of London’s club scene. A central figure in London’s post-dubstep era, he earned his stripes through residencies at FWD’s Plastic People nights as well as Rinse FM, NTS, and the Red Bull Music Academy, and bookings that saw him play at dozens of cities around the world with sets at Plastic People, Fabric, Sonar Festival, Dekmantel and many more. Since his early days as a DJ - where his technical yet rugged sets fused percussive house, techno, and hybrid UK sounds with an encyclopedic crate-digging approach - Braiden has remained dedicated to showcasing and creating music that balances physical rhythm with evocative atmosphere. His previous productions, including releases on Doldrums and Rush Hour, as well as remixes for SBTRKT and Jacques Greene, reflect a meticulous attention to emotional and physical impact on the dancefloor. In recent years, Braiden took a step back from public performances to focus on developing a substantial new body of work, drawing on fresh inspirations and perspectives. His forthcoming Raindance EP, released on his own label Off Out, marks the first glimpse into this pivotal new chapter, drawing from the core DNA of the UK underground, whilst feeling contemporary and wholly untethered to nostalgia.
