Bio
Budd is an Australian grunge and alternative rock band, formed in Beenleigh, Queensland, in 1991 by Jeremy Finlayson, Gary Linaker and David Nicholson. The band has operated through various line-ups based in Brisbane and Melbourne. Budd's guitar-heavy sound draws heavily from early grunge and underground punk, with influences from Tad, The Melvins, Mudhoney and Nirvana, as well as Cosmic Psychos, Fudge Tunnel, The Jesus & Mary Chain and Big Black. The band has released records including Fuzzgutzn, Yakfat, Naf, Ovit, Prana and Jawa, and has toured nationally with acts including Shellac, Fugazi, The Beastie Boys, Mudhoney, Iggy Pop and Clutch. Budd continues to perform live with its current lineup.
