Carla Wehbe is an Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Sydney, known for her emotionally charged pop sound and cinematic 1980s-inspired aesthetic. She first gained recognition through her expressive vocals and distinctive retro style, fusing contemporary pop with nostalgic elements of synth-pop and rock. Carla’s debut EP Half Past Nine (2020) introduced her as one of Australia’s most promising alt-pop talents, blending introspective storytelling with shimmering production. Her later works, including Jupiter and Mars (2023) and Dark in the Light (2025), showcase her evolution into a more mature and self-assured artist. The upcoming Dark in the Light EP explores contrasts between strength and vulnerability, hope and melancholy — recurring motifs in her songwriting. Wehbe has performed at major Australian festivals and supported artists such as G Flip, Peach PRC, and Beth McCarthy, establishing herself as a dynamic live performer. Alongside her music career, she is also the founder of her clothing label Space Cowboy, reflecting her artistic fusion of fashion, nostalgia, and individuality.
