Bio
Caution:Thieves is a post‑hardcore/metal band from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Known for their intense blend of aggressive riffs, melodic hooks, and emotive dynamics, the five‑piece has been carving out a name within the underground heavy music scene. Since their early releases—including the EP *Prologue: The Slow Resign of a Dying Star*—Caution:Thieves has built a sound rooted in post‑hardcore and metalcore, drawing comparisons to influential acts like Alexisonfire, Thrice, Misery Signals, and Poison the Well. Their music balances melodic passages with powerful breakdowns and passionate vocals, creating a dynamic sonic experience that resonates with fans of aggressive yet thoughtful heavy music. In 2025 the band announced their debut full‑length album, *The Astronomer*, a concept‑driven release that expands their sound further with expansive arrangements and diverse musical moods, from high‑energy anthems to more atmospheric moments. Caution:Thieves continues to make waves in Australia’s heavy music scene through releases, live shows, and a growing fanbase that embraces both their raw power and compositional ambition.
