Bio
Chasing Luena is a Melbourne-based indie rock outfit known for their raw energy, emotional songwriting, and dynamic live sound. Formerly performing under the name Wasteman, the project was initiated by drummer Bill Foster, who envisioned a band combining hard-hitting rhythms, evocative lyrics, and powerful performances. Their music blends indie, rock, and pop influences, creating a sound that balances melodic accessibility with energetic instrumentation. Tracks like “Duck Diving” and “Belgrave” highlight their mix of driving rock elements and reflective, emotive tones. Drawing comparisons to Australian acts like Ball Park Music, Alex Lahey, and Ruby Fields, Chasing Luena sits comfortably within the country’s emerging alternative/indie scene, building momentum through releases on platforms like triple j Unearthed.
