Bio
Chinese Burns Unit is a punk rock band from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, formed in 2010 and known for its energetic, punchy take on classic punk aesthetics with a melodic edge. Emerging in the early 2010s, the group has released several records including their self‑titled EP and other punk‑driven releases through outlets like Bandcamp and on labels such as Poison City Records — a well‑known independent Australian punk label. Their music combines raw, tight hardcore/punk riffs with catchy melodies and a DIY attitude rooted in the tradition of Aussie underground punk. They’ve shared stages with other punk and rock acts around Australia and continue to circulate releases and songs through streaming platforms, including recent singles such as Brave Face (2025).
