Bio
CHRONIC is a Sydney-based Australian metalcore band known for delivering aggressive modern heaviness through crushing breakdowns, intense vocals, and high-energy live performances. Formed by Nepalese-Australian musicians, the band has built a strong presence within Sydney’s underground heavy music scene, blending elements of metalcore, deathcore, hardcore, and modern groove-driven metal. Their sound combines downtuned riffs, atmospheric tension, and hard-hitting rhythmic structures inspired by both classic heavy music and contemporary metalcore production. Releases such as Defunct, BLAVK, and ACE showcase CHRONIC’s balance between melodic intensity and brutal breakdown-focused songwriting. Since emerging in the Australian heavy circuit, CHRONIC has continued to grow through independent releases, online support, and live performances that emphasise crowd energy, mosh-driven dynamics, and emotionally charged modern metal songwriting.
