Bio
cleopatrick is a Canadian rock duo from Cobourg, Ontario, made up of Luke Gruntz (vocals/guitar) and Ian Fraser (drums). They’ve been friends since age four, started messing around with music as kids, then began recording seriously in their teens. Their earliest influences include hard rock like AC/DC, but their sound also incorporates modern elements and production sensibilities often found in hip hop. They released their first EP 14 in 2016, followed by The Boys in 2018. Their breakthrough came with the single "Hometown", which brought them much wider attention. Their debut full-length album Bummer came out in 2021; their second album Fake Moon was released in March 2025. They operate independently through their own label, Nowhere Special Recordings. Their music is known for raw honesty, heavy riffs, and energetic live shows — they’ve played festivals like Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Shaky Knees, among others.
