Bio
Crihan (real name Alin Crihan) is a Romanian DJ, producer, and label owner known for his deep, minimal and highly refined approach to electronic music. Active since the early 2000s, he has spent over two decades developing a sound rooted in patience, precision, and subtle groove. Originally from Târgu Mureș and later based in Bucharest, Crihan became part of Romania’s influential underground scene, evolving into more experimental and stripped-back territories after relocating to the capital in 2009. His productions have appeared on respected labels such as Naural and Ultrastretch, with a catalogue spanning dozens of vinyl releases under multiple aliases including Discret Popescu and Modest Ionescu. As a DJ, he has performed across Europe and internationally, sharing lineups with key figures in the Romanian minimal movement and playing at clubs like Guesthouse and Club der Visionaere, as well as festivals and underground venues worldwide. Known for his slow-burning, detail-focused sets, Crihan builds immersive dancefloor journeys through layered textures and carefully placed rhythms, embodying the hypnotic essence of the Romanian minimal sound.
