Dann Niggaz (real name Guaidanny Liendo Texeira, born 1980 in Caracas, Venezuela) is a rapper, lyricist, producer, and graphic designer regarded as one of the foundational figures of Venezuelan hip hop. Known for his deep voice, poetic precision, and socio-conscious lyrics, he has played an instrumental role in shaping the country’s underground rap scene since the 1990s. Emerging from Venezuela’s early street and freestyle culture, Dann Niggaz co-founded and performed with pioneering collectives such as Niggaz Feel Da Hood, Supremacy Hip Hop Clan, and The Best Rap Selection, which were among the first to define a distinctly Venezuelan hip hop identity. His collaborations in the 2000s helped launch the careers of artists like Lil Supa and Canserbero, setting a standard for lyrical craftsmanship and authenticity in the Spanish-speaking rap movement. A member of the legendary Bas.y.Co (Base y Contenido) collective, alongside Lil Supa, Canserbero, La Zaga, Kpu, RayOne, Afromak, and Gbec, Dann Niggaz helped create a cross-generational creative hub that combined music, street art, philosophy, and design. His reputation grew as one of the most respected lyricists and producers in the region, blending intellectual poetry with raw hip hop realism. Dann Niggaz released his first solo EP Motivo Personal (2013), a deeply reflective work addressing personal struggle, artistic perseverance, and Venezuelan social realities. In 2022, he returned with the twin albums The Sinistah Album I and The Sinistah Album II, solidifying his alter ego “The Sinistah” — a persona embodying rebellion, spirituality, and resilience through music and visual art. In 2024, Dann Niggaz released ÍCONOS, a major collaborative project highlighting Venezuela’s new wave of hip hop creators, again featuring Lil Supa. His track “Otro Texto” with Lil Supa is one of his most recognized collaborations internationally. Beyond music, Dann Niggaz is an accomplished graphic designer and art director, contributing visuals for several Latin hip hop projects. His multidisciplinary approach merges the aesthetics of street culture, design, and music, establishing him as both an artistic innovator and elder statesman within Latin America’s underground hip hop scene.
