Day of Contempt is an Australian hardcore punk/metalcore band formed in 1997 in Adelaide, South Australia. Known for their intense live performances and aggressive sound, the band gained recognition with their debut album See Through the Lies (2003) and EP The Will to Live (2004). They have toured internationally, including the U.S., Europe, and Japan, and briefly relocated to Los Angeles to expand their presence in the global hardcore scene. After a hiatus, they reunited in 2024 and continue to perform, maintaining their reputation in the hardcore community.
