Bio
Dead Ed are a new alternative rock band from Naarm (Melbourne), Victoria, Australia, formed by high school friends Domenic Borg and Emeline Toohey. They blend influences from post‑punk, blues and Australian garage rock to create a gritty, energetic rock sound rooted in the city’s vibrant independent music scene. The band expanded their lineup in 2024 by recruiting bassist Evan Clappaert and drummer Alex Vella, both experienced performers and songwriters in the local scene, turning Dead Ed into a four‑piece ensemble ready to develop their original material and live presence. In early 2024, Dead Ed released their debut EP Wildflower, showcasing a mix of raw rock energy and sharp songwriting. They also hit the live circuit around Melbourne, supporting shows such as their first main support set at the Bergy Bandroom and gearing up for headlining appearances at venues like The Penny Black.
