Degs (born Andrew Davies, also known as Ndegwa) is a UK‑based drum & bass artist, DJ, producer, vocalist, and songwriter who has become a standout figure on the global electronic music circuit. Signed to the influential Hospital Records label, he’s known for blending soulful vocals, sharp lyricism, and high‑energy drum & bass production in his music. Music was in Degs’ blood from an early age — he began as an accomplished pianist and guitarist and later developed his skills as a singer, rapper, and MC. Introduced to drum & bass as a teenager, he quickly embraced the genre and became a respected live performer across Europe and beyond. Degs first gained major attention with his breakthrough tracks like “Poveglia” and the Mixtape Sprayout project, which garnered global club and festival support. His debut album Letters From Ndegwa showcased his range as a vocalist and songwriter, blending introspective emotion with driving D&B energy. In 2025 he released his second album If We Left This Earth, featuring collaborations with several artists and further cementing his position as one of modern drum & bass’s most compelling voices. Beyond producing and performing, Degs has also hosted episodes of the popular Hospital Podcast, connecting with the broader D&B community and sharing his musical influences.
