Disruptive Pattern Material (often shortened to DPM) is a New York–born, Michigan–raised DJ and producer whose work bridges American electronic music cultures, especially Detroit techno and New York house. Although internationally based, he has played frequently in Australia (Melbourne & Sydney), including events at venues like Club 77 and Howler. DPM’s sound draws from classic underground electronic roots — blending unreleased techno bombs, obscure house gems, deep grooves and multichannel mixing techniques he developed under mentors from the Detroit scene including members of Submerge. His releases, such as the Necessary EP (Rekids) and Foundation EP (Uncage), showcase this fusion of techno and house with jazz, disco and hip‑hop influences and have earned support from notable artists in the global scene. He’s also been involved in community‑oriented DJ initiatives and has supported larger names including Carl Craig and Underground Resistance.
