Bio
Aloopa is the stage name of Paola Andrea Meza Charry, a Colombian‑born DJ and music artist based on the Gold Coast and Brisbane, Australia. She’s known for bringing vibrant Latin rhythms and multicultural sounds to Australian dance floors, blending salsa, bachata, merengue, reggaetón, Latin house and electronic music in her DJ sets. Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Paola grew up surrounded by music and performance. After moving to Australia, she carved out a unique niche as one of the country’s few Latina DJs, captivating crowds with genre‑crossing energy and deep cultural influences. Beyond performing, Aloopa founded Revolution Agency & Academy, through which she provides DJ entertainment for events and teaches aspiring DJs, with a focus on supporting underrepresented Latin‑Australian talent. She also performs under another alias, Mahaw, for her electronic‑music productions.
