DJ Mum is a Melbourne/Naarm-based DJ known for bass-driven selections rooted in jungle and UK-influenced electronic sounds. Originally a jazz instrumentalist and classical pianist, she moved toward electronic music through drum and bass and has since developed a style centred on slow, rhythmic, drone-heavy bass textures, broken beats and intricate percussion. Her sets — often unpredictable and tempo-shifting — have seen her emerge as part of Australia’s underground scene, performing across cities including Melbourne, Sydney and Perth and appearing at local clubs and festivals.
