Drox (real name Adrian Burns) is a Sydney-based DJ, producer, live act and underground electronic music figure with over a decade of experience shaping his distinctive sound. His DJing and production style is heavily influenced by electro, raw machine music, industrial and bass music, with nods to early ’90s Detroit machine sounds, rich IDM textures and sci-fi-tinged sonic atmospheres. A mainstay of Sydney’s techno and electro scene for more than 20 years, Drox has played at respected clubs and events across Australia, supported international artists such as Hieroglyphic Being, Buzz Kull, Assembler Code and Reptant, and performed internationally in Berlin and London. He’s also an accomplished producer with releases on labels like Datadisk, Natural Expressions, Nightime Drama, Crobot Muzik and his own Analog Cabin imprint — and his work has earned praise from peers including Vince Watson, Iron Curtis, DJ Bone and Neville Watson. In 2023 Drox launched the vinyl label Delphic Iris with Berlin producer 16 Faces, releasing music in Berlin, London and Sydney and further expanding his reach within global underground electronic music. Drox is known not just as a selector but also as a collector and sonic innovator, bringing deep, melodic and propulsive energy to both dance floors and intimate listening spaces.
