Bio
Dumb Punts is a Melbourne-based punk rock trio known for their raw, fast-paced sound and chaotic live energy. Formed by siblings James Gallagher and Ciarn Gallagher alongside bassist Brent Lockhart, the band has become a staple of Australia’s underground rock scene. Their music blends garage rock grit with punk attitude, delivering short, punchy tracks packed with distortion, humor, and irreverent lyricism. Often described as loud, loose, and unapologetically fun, Dumb Punts embody a DIY ethos that thrives in sweaty venues and festival stages alike. They gained wider attention after performing at events like Falls Festival, showcasing their “grungy brand of punk” to larger audiences and building a reputation for energetic, crowd-driven performances.
