Duplicity is the London based, Edinburgh born duo, label, and podcast series comprised of EJA and Essentia, emerging onto the local Scottish scene in late 2019. Playing events around Edinburgh’s Mash House/Bongo/Sneaky Petes and Glasgow’s La Cheetah, alongside earning individual imprints on respected labels such as Soma, ARTS, and records on Defaultbox with their productions: each being testimony to the project heads and their contribution to the underground culture. Since the onset of the label in 2022, the Duplicity project has pushed its interpretation of techno, curating colossal VA’s and moody EP’s based on deep, mental, groovy and loopy elements, largely inspired and supported by artists such as DVS1, Rene Wise, Kaiser, Marrøn and the HAYES collective.
