Ebop is the solo project of Ethan Brandwood, an independent artist based on Kaurna Country (Adelaide, South Australia). Writing and recording all of his music himself, Brandwood channels his full creative vision into a sound that is dynamic, emotionally expressive, and personality-driven. For live performances, he is joined by friends Charlie, Frank, and Isaac, whose energetic musicianship brings his recordings to life on stage. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Alex G, King Krule, The Strokes, and The Smiths, Ebop blends introspective songwriting with eclectic indie rock arrangements. Ebop has gained recognition through triple j Unearthed with singles including "Cage," "Pigeon," and "You Stole My Name." His music balances melodic guitar work, raw vocal delivery, and experimental touches, creating songs that are both emotionally resonant and unpredictable. With plans for new singles and an EP, Ebop continues to establish himself as one of Adelaide's emerging indie artists.
