Bio
Ed Sheeran (full name Edward Christopher Sheeran) is an English singer‑songwriter and musician, born 17 February 1991 in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England and raised in Framlingham, Suffolk. He began writing songs as a child and moved to London to pursue music, playing hundreds of small shows before breaking through internationally in the early 2010s. Sheeran’s music blends pop, folk‑pop, soft rock, R&B and hip‑influenced styles, and he became one of the world’s best‑selling artists with hits like Shape of You, Thinking Out Loud and Perfect. His debut album + (Plus) arrived in 2011, followed by mega‑successful releases such as × (Multiply), ÷ (Divide), and more recent works including Play in 2025. He’s known for performing with just his guitar and loop pedal, creating layered live performances. Sheeran has sold hundreds of millions of records worldwide, broken chart records, won multiple Grammy Awards, and embarked on globally successful tours — including shows in Australia and New Zealand as part of his 2026 Loop Tour.
