Bio
Ellis King is an Australian singer-songwriter originally from Tasmania and now based in Melbourne. She is known for her confessional, emotionally driven songwriting, blending elements of indie pop, folk, and alternative pop with soft, melodic production and heartfelt lyricism. Her music often draws comparisons to artists like Gracie Abrams, Lizzy McAlpine, and Maisie Peters, with a focus on intimate storytelling, vulnerability, and coming-of-age themes. Ellis King began developing her songwriting at a young age and gradually built her craft through Melbourne’s music scene, releasing tracks that highlight personal experiences, relationships, and emotional growth. Her sound sits within the emerging wave of modern indie-pop singer-songwriters in Australia, combining stripped-back acoustic elements with polished, radio-ready production.
