Eternal Lord were a British deathcore band from Bournemouth, England, active mainly in the mid-to-late 2000s. They were part of the early UK wave of extreme metal bands that helped shape the country’s underground deathcore and metalcore scenes. The band formed in 2005 and quickly gained attention in the UK heavy music circuit for their aggressive sound and intense live shows. They released their debut album Blessed Be This Nightmare (2008), which became a cult release within the UK deathcore community. Their music reflected the era’s fusion of brutal death metal riffing with hardcore breakdown structures, a defining feature of deathcore at the time. Eternal Lord also became known for connections to other UK metal acts, with members later involved in projects such as Suicide Silence (UK connections through touring scene), Burning Skies, and other extreme metal bands, reflecting how interconnected the UK deathcore scene was during that period. The band disbanded around 2008–2009, but they remain a notable name in the UK’s mid-2000s extreme metal history.
