Bio
Eyes Ninety is a Brisbane-based rock quartet known for their raw, garage-infused sound that blends elements of punk, rock 'n' roll, and psychedelia. The band comprises Lucky Ben, Richard Neville, Thomas Beaumont, and Xavier Poropat. They have released several albums under Swashbuckling Hobo Records, including Eyes Ninety (2015), Glaucoma Chameleon (2019), and Neon Brown (2024). Their music is characterized by rough production, energetic performances, and a blend of staccato guitar riffs, fuzz, and wonky synth interludes. Critics have noted their authentic, no-frills approach to rock, with comparisons to bands like The Sonics and Pere Ubu. Their sound is often described as "swampy" and "distinctly Australian," with tracks like “Visions” showcasing their electrified style.
