Bio
Faker are a long‑running Australian alternative rock band formed in Sydney in 1996 by frontman Nathan Hudson. They emerged from the local indie scene and became well‑known in the 2000s for their melodic yet punchy rock sound, combining jangly guitars and emotive vocals with indie and alternative rock sensibilities. Their breakthrough came with the 2007 single “This Heart Attack,” which reached the Top 10 on the ARIA Singles Chart and placed high in Triple J’s Hottest 100. The band released three studio albums — Addicted Romantic (2005), Be the Twilight (2007) and Get Loved (2011) — before disbanding in 2013 and later reuniting in 2020 with renewed activity and new material.
