MUSIC has been a lifelong passion of mine, particularly drum and bass. While most kids cuddled teddy bears, I fell asleep with a speaker by my side, soaking in the beats and basslines. DJ Flame Jade is an undeniable, rising international force in the drum and bass and jungle underground. For Flame—her actual birth name—the title perfectly mirrors the raw energy, fiery selection, and intense passion she brings to every DJ booth she commands. Deeply embedded in the culture from an early age, Flame fell in love with jungle and D&B so young she earned the nickname "child of the rave." Raised in a household soundtracked by her parents' extensive collection of Trojan Records, reggae, and soul, she developed a foundational connection to bassweight, rhythm, and the emotional power of sound. Seeking refuge and family on the dancefloor, the rave served as a vital personal sanctuary. Following a deeply traumatic life event years later, that lifelong passion reignited into a profound artistic mission: to heal through sonic frequency, tell her story, and uplift dancefloors. Refusing to be boxed into a single subgenre, Flame Jade’s style spans the full spectrum of the continuum. Her sets masterfully move from soulful liquid to heavyweight, roller-heavy jump-up, and amen-driven old-school jungle. Possessing a deep reverence for the culture's history and evolution, she seamlessly blends formative 90s influences with cutting-edge modern sounds. This intentional track selection is directly shaped by a consciousness she held even as a child: that music is a tool for therapeutic release, unity, and healing. Her rapidly ascending career includes a resident DJ spot for Jungle Delight and Thames Delta Radio, alongside collaborative work with the legendary Renegade Hardware crew. She recently won her first ever entered DJ competition, earning a coveted set on the Hybrid Minds stage at High Lights Festival, and achieved a personal milestone by opening for one of her biggest lifelong inspirations, DJ Rap. Flame's high-energy performances have quickly transcended the UK underground, commanding dancefloors internationally across Amsterdam, Thailand, and Turkey. Back home, she continues to tear down legendary spaces like Egg London alongside pioneers DJ Brockie and Grooverider. With her heavy debut single "SHOTS" out now on Bandcamp, Flame Jade is actively diving deeper into studio production and laying the groundwork for her own independent record label. Beginning her formal university music studies this year, she is fully focused on building a formidable catalogue of original jungle and D&B. Whether tearing up an intimate underground club or commanding a massive global stage, Flame Jade’s ultimate goal remains unwavering: to use the therapeutic, unifying power of rave music to connect, heal, and move the massive.
