Foxy Shazam is an American rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio, formed in 2004 and known for their wildly theatrical live performances, flamboyant glam-rock energy, and genre-blending sound. Fronted by vocalist Eric Nally, the band combines explosive rock ’n’ roll with piano-driven hooks, soul influences, punk chaos, brass instrumentation, and over-the-top stagecraft. The group first emerged from the Midwest DIY/post-hardcore scene with early releases like *The Flamingo Trigger* and *Introducing Foxy Shazam*, before evolving into a more theatrical glam-rock and classic rock-inspired act on albums such as *Foxy Shazam* (2010) and *The Church of Rock and Roll* (2012). Their music has often been compared to bands like Queen, The Darkness, and My Chemical Romance because of its dramatic vocals, camp theatricality, and arena-rock ambition. After a hiatus beginning in 2014, Foxy Shazam reunited in 2020 and returned with a string of independently released albums through their own label, continuing to embrace a chaotic, maximalist rock style while maintaining a devoted cult following.
