Georgia Fields is an Australian singer-songwriter, composer, and multi-disciplinary artist from Melbourne (Naarm), known for her sophisticated blend of art-pop, indie folk, and chamber-pop. She is recognised for her inventive songwriting, live looping techniques, and emotionally rich, cinematic approach to music. Across her career, Fields has released multiple acclaimed albums and EPs, including Astral Debris (2016) and Hiraeth (2022), the latter inspired by the Welsh concept of longing for a home that no longer exists. Her music combines lush melodic pop with experimental textures, string arrangements, and layered vocal production. On stage, she is known for transforming songs in real time using electric guitar, keyboards, percussion, and looping technology, creating immersive and dynamic live performances. Her work has been praised for its emotional depth, imaginative storytelling, and “world-building” sonic style. Beyond her solo career, Georgia has also worked as a composer and arranger for film, theatre, and other artists, contributing string arrangements and collaborative works across Australia’s independent music scene. She is also involved in mentoring and advocacy for artists, including initiatives supporting musician wellbeing and community-building in the arts.
