Bio
Gesticulations is an Australian music project led by Graham Ashton, with Benny D Williams as a key collaborator, based around the Brisbane/Gold Coast music scene. Ashton provides the lyrics and vocals while Williams handles much of the instrumentation and production. Their music is lyric-driven and varied, combining punk rock, indie rock, alternative rock, post-punk, and singer-songwriter influences. Their work has been compared to Lou Reed, while some songs draw directly from Brisbane's punk-rock history and artists such as The Menzingers and Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds.
